MSI announce Cubi mini-PC powered by Intel SoC
MSI Cubi is a brand new mini-PC, Cubi. Cubi is a handheld-size PC and can be wall mounted using VESA standard wall mount. Cubi is smaller than a lunchbox or a XL soda can and comes in black and white color options. Powered by Intel processors, MSI Cubi is capable of carrying multiple modular hard drives (2.5”). The Intel processor is a Broadwell U family processor built on 14nm fab and takes only 15W max power (30% less than previous generation). Cubi comes with Windows OS pre-loaded.
The bottom cover can be replaced with an expanded module and that will provide more space to added bigger storage drives. The front has dual USB 3.0 drives and a 3.5mm audio input/output jack. The power button is on top left corner. The rear has a power input, full size HDMI port, display port, LAN port and two more USB 3.0 ports. Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4 are built-in.
The internal layout looks super clean. Two RAM slots at the left half that take laptop RAM. The CPU and the NAND flash are neatly tucked in. On the whole, the board looks super clean.
