Motorola Moto G5 and G5 Plus are the successors to the much loved line up of midrange phones available across the globe. Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress happening in Barcelona, the G5 and G5 Plus come with new metal design and feel more in line with the Moto M phone. Motorola Moto G5 will be available from late April with a starting price of £169, in Grey, Blue and Gold color options. Motorola Moto G5 Plus will be available for £259, in Grey and Gold color options.
Motorola Moto G5 is powered by Snapdragon 430 chip and has 3GB of RAM onboard. The display is a 5″ FullHD panel with Moto Display function (always on display). There is 16GB of onboard storage. Those who need more storage and use a microSD card.
Coming to optics, there is a 13mp rear camera with Phase Detect AutoFocus and a 5mp front facing camera with wide angle lens. The battery is rated at 2800mAh and Motorola will include the rapid charger that can recharge the battery at a rapid pace.
Motorola Moto G5 Plus is powered by 2GHz octa core chip, has 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Like the G5, the G5 Plus support microSD card. Both the G5 and G5 Plus come with front mounted fingerprint reader.
Coming to optics, there is a 12mp rear camera with Dual Autofocus Pixels, f/1.7 aperture, support for 4K video recording. The front facing camera is rated at 5mp wide-angle.
Motorola Moto G5 Plus has 5.2″ FullHD display and a 3000mAh battery with Turbo Power charging support. The display of G5 Plus is protected using Gorilla Glass 3 layer.
