Mobile Developer Summit (MODS) Turns Six
At the first Mobile Developer Summit (MODS) in 2010, the number of mobile app downloads had hit 4 billion worldwide and there were great conversations about how this opened up a whole new software and business opportunity for every developer. Even as the MODS keynote predicted app downloads to grow at a furious pace and clock 200 billion in five years, many conference attendees were exploring where and how to start—or even if they should make the foray into transitioning to a mobile-centric computing world. Six years on, mobile app downloads worldwide are expected to reach ~180 billion in 2015, of which 9 billion will happen in India.
Mobile Developer Summit Sixth Edition is scheduled on October 15-16, 2015 at IISC, Bangalore.
