Microsoft Lumia 640 and Lumia 640 XL launched in India
Microsoft has launched the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640 XL in India for prices of INR 11,999 and INR 15,799 respectively. The company announced that the two phones will come with one year subscription of Office 365 for free.
The Microsoft Lumia 640 comes with a 5 inch IPS Clearblack LCD display of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB of RAM. Internal storage is just 8 GB, but it can be expanded with a microSD card. The Lumia 640 comes with Windows Phone 8.1 with Lumia Denim out of the box and Microsoft will push out the Windows 10 for Phones update when it’s out.
There is an 8 MP camera with an LED flash and a front facing 1 MP camera. The Lumia 640 packs in a 2500 mAh battery and will be available via Flipkart as well as other channels for a price of INR 11,999.
THe Lumia 640 XL comes with a 5.7 inch IPS Clearblack LCD display of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, a quad core Snapdragon 400 processor and 1 GB of RAM. The Lumia 640 XL also has the same internal storage as the Lumia 640 – 8 GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card up to 128 GB. On the camera front, however, it has a 13 MP main camera with an LED flash and a front facing 5 MP camera.
The battery is beefed up at 3000 mAh, though the bigger display will negate the benefits to some extent. The Lumia 640 XL will be available for a price of INR 15,799.
