Microsoft improves Bing Image experience for Android and iOS devices
Microsoft has announced an improved and upgraded experience for Bing Image users on Android and iOS devices. The software giant announced the update a couple of days ago, with the focus on improving ease and speed of usage.
Microsoft also announced that it will be making its Image search engine more predictable, with the focus on reducing the amount of typing you have to do by intelligent bubbling of search terms. This not only reduces the amount of typing you have to do, but it also makes the predictions easier to click. This is important on smartphones, where screen real estate is extremely limited.
- Your search terms are “bubbled” in the search box into intelligent groups.
- Want to explore more? Pivot your search around each entity by just tapping on any of the bubbles to expand your search to new topics.
- Want to refine your search? We’ve included smart suggestion bubbles below the search box. No typing needed – just tap to add!
- Went down the wrong path? No problem – just tap the X next to each bubble to delete it.
This update will be pushed out server side to Bing English users in the coming days. These updates are applicable to users on Android and iOS platforms. Microsoft is also open to suggestions from its users and the company is asking for suggestions to be submitted here or on Twitter with #TypeLessSearchFaster.
