Microsoft Health for Windows 10 PCs announced
Microsoft has announced an update for the Microsoft Band which brings a new Explore Tile to track hikes. The Microsoft Health app will soon be available in the Windows Store for Windows 10 PCs and Tablets.
Microsoft says that this will allow you to:
Sync your Microsoft Band manually to your PC or Surface through a USB cable and manage tiles, personalize your band, update firmware, and more. The Live Tile will display your current step count and calorie burn.
Microsoft Health is required for syncing and analyzing data from your Microsoft Band. Earlier, it was only available as a mobile app on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Now with the new Health app for Windows 10 PCs, Band users will be able to sync their Band to their PC or Tablet through a USB cable. Only allowing syncing through USB cable may turn out to be a problem.
The Health app has not received the update yet and Microsoft has said that:
The Microsoft Health app, the companion app to the Microsoft Band, will begin rolling out in the Windows Store this week to download onto your Windows 10 PCs and Tablets. Sync your Microsoft Band manually to your PC or Surface through a USB cable and manage tiles, personalize your band, update firmware, and more. The Live Tile will display your current step count and calorie burn.
