Microsoft announce Clutter inbox tool for Office 365 business customers
Microsoft Clutter is a new tool available only for Office 365 business customers that helps users focus on most important mails in their inbox. This is done by moving lower priority mails to a new ‘clutter’ folder. This way, only the most important emails are left in e-mail inbox root. Clutter is on a continuous learning curve, analyzing users action(s) on mails that they receive. Clutter is powered by recently launched “Office Graph” machine learning techniques. Clutter is disabled by default and can be enabled from Outlook Web Options (OWA) options menu. Do note that if you have set rules on your inbox, Clutter will not work on the mails that are filtered by rules.
On Thursday, November 13th, the Office 365 Technical Network will host a Clutter YamJam from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. PT / 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. UTC to discuss the Clutter feature. For those unfamiliar with a YamJam, it is similar to a “TweetJam” on Twitter or an “Ask Me Anything (AMA)” on Reddit, except it takes place on Yammer. A YamJam provides the opportunity for the community to ask questions and have a discussion with a panel of Microsoft experts on a particular topic.
How to participate:
- Request access to the Office 365 Technical Network.
- Join the Exchange IT Pro group. You can find it by using the Browse Groups function or through the search bar.
- Log in at 9:00 a.m. PT on Thursday, November 13th to ask questions, follow the discussions and connect with Microsoft team members
