Microsoft adds QRCode to Windows 10 BSOD
The error messages on the Blue Screen of Death crashes are often understandable to the users. Microsoft is now making the error messages more user friendly by the addition of QRCode.
The latest build of windows 10, 14316 comes with QRCode which help users with information relating to BSOD causes. Presently, the QRCode is only a shortcut to the windows.com/stopcode. The QR code included in the error message allows users who actually get to see the blue screen to get more information on the error code by simply scanning it with a mobile phone and they are redirected to the website.
Presently, the QR code is only visible for a short period as the system reboots after collecting error information. You can disable automatic restarts of your computer in case you encounter a BSOD. Head over to System Properties, click the Advanced tab, open the Settings screen in the Startup and Recovery section, and disable the option that reads “Automatically restart” in the System failure category.
