Micromax Canvas Fire 4 launched for Rs. 6999 in India

Micromax has launched the fourth iteration of its Canvas Fire series of Android smartphones in India. Called the Canvas Fire 4, it is a budget smartphone that comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box with Micromax’s additions to the OS.

Micromax has revealed little in terms of specs, but here’s what we know about the device so far.

• 4.5 inch display
• 1.3 GHz quad core processor
• 8 MP camera, dual LED flash; 2 MP front facing camera
• 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory expandable with a microSD card
• Dual SIM, 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio
• 2000 mAh battery

The Micromax Canvas Fire 4 comes with dual speakers on the front, which are powered by the Cirrus Logic Wolfson WM8918 audio chipset to deliver high quality audio output.

The Canvas Fire 4 will be available for Rs. 6,999 in India, in two colours. More details are forthcoming.
