Meizu announce MX5 flagship smartphone
Meizu MX5 is the new flagship smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker. MX5 comes with metal back that is manufactured using 12-gun 3D sand blasting, 5-step anodizing process, fine polishing and the end result is superb (though it looks a bit similar to the iPhone 6 design). Powered by MediaTek Helio X10 (octa core CPU and PowerVR G6200GPU), MX5 comes with Flyme OS 4.5 (based on Android) operating system.
MX5 comes with AMOLED display (manufactured by Samsung) and has 100% NTSC color gamut resulting in crystal clear display quality. Resolution is set to FullHD (1920×1080) and measures 5.5” (diagonal) in size. There are dual SIM card slots but only the primary slot will support 4G LTE networks while the second SIM card will only provide 2G voice calling. Coming to optics, there is a 20.7mp rear camera and a 5mp front facing camera. The rear camera comes with 6 element lens with laser autofocus. The front facing camera , with f/2.0 is made for selfie lovers.
Other feautures include mCharge (similar to Qualcomm’s quickcharge) that charges MX5 battery up to 25% in 10 minutes and up to 60% in 40 minutes. MX5 comes with a finger print reader and fingerprint identification system mTouch 2.0.
