Meizu and Canonical announce MX4 Ubuntu Edition for Europe
Meizu and Canonical have announced MX4 Ubuntu Edition smartphone running Ubuntu mobile operating system, in Europe. The smartphone is already available in China for developers and will be available in Europe from 25th of June 2015 for 299 euros. Similar to OnePlus One when it launched, the MX4 Ubuntu Edition will be available by invites from Meizu’s website. MX4 Ubuntu Edition will be available in silver and gold color options.
Coming to specification, MX4 has an incredible 5.36” 1152 x 1920 pixel resolution display made by Sharp, a 20.7mp rear facing camera, 2mp front facing camera and is powered by MediaTek MT6595 octa core chip. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage onboard. The battery has 3100mAh rated capacity.
