Lync for Android now has Anonymous Join and more
Lync for Android, an instant messaging app from Microsoft, has received an update, bringing it on par with the iOS and Windows Phone versions. The Redmond has added a slew of features which were available on the other two platforms, so if you’re a Lync user and use Android, hit that Update button right away.
The update brings Anonymous Join, Passive Authentication and contact management.
You can now invite people to Lync Meetings and they can join those meetings even if they don’t have Lync accounts. Click on the meeting link, enter your name and wait for the meeting administrator to admit you. Sounds less tedious.
Microsoft has detailed the update changelog over on its blog, complete with images.
