Loewe enters portable speaker market with NFC equipped Speaker 2go
Loewe (German audio and TV brand) Speaker 2go is a new portable speaker that will go on sale in June. This is the first portable speaker from this reputed German brand. Priced at £269, Speaker 2go is NFC enabled which means that you can pair your NFC enabled music source (phone, tablet, mp3 player) to the speaker by a simple tap and then the Bluetooth kicks in and streams the audio from phone to the speaker set.
2go can run on batteries and the onboard batteries can provide continuous power for 8 hours. Though 2go looks like a speaker bar, it has a standard 2.1 speaker setup with 40W RMS maximum power (2x 10W satellites and a 20W subwoofer with bass reflex tube to provide high quality bass). There also is an integrated voice optimized microphone that lets you use 2go as hands-free device. While Bluetooth has a range of 10 metres, there is a 3.5mm audio jack to connect the audio player to 2go.
