Lenovo Yoga C630 laptop is powered by Snapdragon 850
Lenovo Yoga C630 is the world’s first laptop powered by Qualcomm’s top of the line Snapdragon 850 chipset. Thanks to Snapdragon chipset, the Yoga C630 is always connected to internet. Yoga C630 run Windows 10 operating system that is tuned to run on Snapdragon. In EMEA, the Yoga C630 WOS starts at €999 (VAT included) and is expected to be available starting November 2018 on www.lenovo.com and select retailers, and will be compatible with select local carriers (prices may vary per market).
Lenovo Yoga C630 WoS supports Lenovo Pen and Windows Ink, to enable smooth pen on paper writing experience. The onboard battery can last up to 25 hours (of video playback on single charge), which is substantial. The new chipset allows the laptop to have up to 30% increase in perfomance when compared with other Windows on Snapdragon devices. The display is 13.3″in size and has FullHD IPS touchscreen panel. The Yoga C630 weighs just 1.2 kgs and is just 12.5mm thin at its slimmest point.
We have all been waiting for Windows on Snapdragon laptops to start pouring into the market and it has not happened until now. The Lenovo Yoga C630 could just be the start. Compared to Intel/AMD chips that power laptops and desktops, Snapdragon chips are extremely power efficient. This laptop’s ability to last for 25 hours proves just that. We do hope that we see more such laptops in the future.
