Lenovo A3900 launched for $80, comes with a 5 inch display
Lenovo is mighty busy expanding its Axxxx series of affordable Android smartphones. The Chinese company has launched another new device called the Lenovo A3900, using a 5 inch WVGA display and pricing it at just $80.
The new Lenovo A3900 was spotted at the Chinese certification site TENAA earlier this year. We finally see the device itself listed on the company’s website, with the following specs:
- Android 4.4.4 KitKat with Lenovo’s custom UI on top
- 5 inch LCD display of WVGA resolution, 854 x 480 pixels, ~196 PPI
- 1.2 GHz quad core Mediatek MT6752 processor
- 5 MP camera, LED flash, front facing 2 MP camera
- 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, expandable with a microSD card
- Dual SIM, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0
- 2300 mAh battery
Lenovo has been focusing on the entry level and low mid range levels with its A series of Android smartphones. The series which was first launched with the Lenovo A6000, later expanded to A5000, A7000, A1900, A6000 Plus and now the A3900. Lenovo is trying to cover as many different price points in the entry level and low mid range levels with this series, expanding furiously in the sub-$100 smartphone market.
