LastPass now free on mobile, sync between devices costs extra
If you want to use LastPass on your mobile device without paying the $12 annual fee for premium support, now is the time. LastPass just added mobile to its free tier. The only catch is that you can only use it on mobile. Starting today, LastPass users will get unlimited use of the password manager on desktops or smartphones or tablets but if you wish to sync your passwords between multiple devices, you will have to pay subscription charges.
Existing free LastPass users can continue using the service as they used to do, but new users will be locked on to the devices that they start on. For instance, if you start using lastpass on mobile, you will not have free access on your desktop. Check out the company’s official announcement for the full run-down of subscription changes.
