Jawbone release UP3 fitness tracker
Jawbone is one of the leading companies when it comes to innovation in wearable tech. Today, Jawbone have announced UP3 heart rate monitor. According to Jawbone, UP3 was designed with comfortable form factor in mind and UP3 has passive heart rate capture process, negating the need to change modes to capture heart rate. Best part is that UP3 has a battery life of upto 7 days. This is achieved due to ‘Bioimpedance’ technology. Bioimpedance measures the resistance of body tissue to tiny electric current to enable the capture of a wide range of physiological signals including your heart rate. This is very similar to the heart rate monitors that we use while doing work outs on a treadmill. Priced at £149.99/$179.99, UP3 is available for purchase now in select markets.
