Huawei MediaPad M2 launched, comes with Kirin octa core processor
Spotted last month at an official store in Paris last month, Huawei MediaPad M2 has finally been launched. The latest tablet from Huawei packs in a lot of punch and will be available on sale soon.
The Huawei MediaPad M2 comes with a 8 inch ClariVu full HD IPS LCD display. Powering the MediaPad M2 is Huawei’s own Kirin line of processors. The MediaPad M2 features the Kirin 930 octa core processor with 64 bit support. Thankfully, it runs on the latest version of Android – 5.1 Lollipop.
- Android 5.1 Lollipop with Huawei’s Emotion UI on top
- 8 inch IPS LCD ClariVu full HD display, 1920 x 1080 pixels, ~275 PPI
- 2 GHz octa core Kirin 930 processor
- 8 MP camera, LED flash; front facing 2 MP camera
- 2 GB / 3 GB RAM, 16 GB / 32 GB internal storage, expandable with a microSD card
- 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, Dual Stereo Harman Kardon speakers, Hi-Fi codec Hi6402 support
- 4800 mAh battery
The specs seem great on paper and considering the fact that Huawei’s launching it with the latest version of Android, there is nothing really substantial to complain about. The battery does seem a bit on the lower side at just 4800 mAh even though the display is big enough at 8 inches.
Pricing and availability information is not out yet, but we do know that the Huawei MediaPad M2 will be sold initially in China, West Europe and South Pacific. Russia, North East Europe and Japan are next on the list, but there is no mention of other markets just yet.
