Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Launched For €1,395
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has launched a limited edition of the Huawei Mate 9, dubbed as Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design. The device has been priced at €1,395 and will go on sale in late December via European Porsche Design Stores. It will be available in Huawei retail stores in Asia, Middle East, and Europe starting from January. The device will be available in Graphite Black colour option only.
Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design Specs
The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.0 skinned on top. The device features a 5.5 inch Quad HD AMOLED display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. It comes with a pixel density of ~534 PPI.
The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design is powered by an Octa core Hisilicon Kirin 960 processor coupled with Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. It comes with 6 GB RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The device does not support microSD expansion. This won’t be a problem since the 256 GB internal storage should be more than enough.
The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design features a second-generation Leica dual-lens camera with a 20 MP monochrome sensor and a 12 MP RGB sensor on the back. Both the cameras come with f/2.2 aperture. The primary cameras also come with phase detection & laser autofocus, OIS, 2x zoom and dual LED flash. The camera comes with features such as Geo-tagging, touch focus, face/smile detection, panorama, HDR.
On the front, the device sports an 8 MP secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture. Huawei has decided to shift the finger print sensor from the rear to the home button in the limited edition. The device measures 152 x 75 x 7.5 mm and weighs in at 169 grams.
The Huawei Mate 9 Porsche Design is powered by a 4,000 mAh battery with SuperCharge technology which is said to provide a day’s worth of charge in just 20 minutes.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC, Infrared, USB Type-C 1.0 reversible connector and FM Radio.
