Huawei launches G9 Plus in China
Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei has launched the G9 Plus in its home country. It has been priced at CNY 2,399 for the 3 GB RAM / 32 GB storage variant. Huawei also launched a 4 GB RAM / 64 GB storage variant but it has not revealed the pricing information about this variant. The 3 GB variant is already on sale in China.
The Huawei G9 Plus is identical to the Huawei Maimang 5 that was launched last month. The phone is a variant of the Maimang 5 meant for China Unicom customers.
The G9 Plus runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with EMUI version 4.1 on top. The device features a 5.5 inch full HD ( 1080 x 1920 pixels) IPS LCD display with pixel density of ~401 ppi.
The device is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with Adreno 506 GPU. The device comes with 3 / 4 GB of RAM and 32 / 64 GB of internal storage. The internal storage on the device can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card.
The Huawei G9 Plus features a 16 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus, OIS and dual LED flash. The camera can record videos up to 2160p@30fps. On the front, it features an 8 MP secondary camera for selfies.
The G9 Plus is powered by a 3,340 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, 4G, and USB Type-C. The device comes with sensors such as a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and an accelerometer.
