Huawei launches four new affordable Android smartphones in India
Huawei has launched a set of four new affordable Android smartphones in India, attempting to make a dent in other affordable smartphone makers shares in the country’s booming smartphone industry.
The four new Android smartphones are Huawei Y336, Huawei Y541, Huawei Y625 and Huawei G620S. The price of these phones starts at INR 5,499 and goes up to INR 9,499, showing that the focus of Huawei is from starter level to the entry level.
Starting with the Huawei Y336 – you get a 4 inch display, Android 4.4 KitKat, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage. There is a 5 MP camera with dual LED flash and a front facing 2 MP camera. The phone is powered by a 1730 mAh battery. Huawei has priced it at INR 5,499.
Compared to the other phones being offered in the market in its price range, the Huawei Y336 does not seem all that lucrative, especially after the price drop of the Xiaomi Redmi 2 to INR 5,999.
Next in the lineup is the Huawei Y541 which comes with a 4.5 inch display and a 1.2 GHz quad core processor. There’s 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, and it runs on Android 4.4 KitKat. The camera on the back is an 8 MP sensor with LED flash and on the front there is a 2 MP camera. It comes with dual SIM support. Huawei has priced it at INR 6,499.
Third in the list is the Huawei Y625, which comes with a 5 inch display and runs on Android 4.4 KitKat, like the other phones. There isn’t much to differentiate it from the Y541, save for the display. It comes with the same 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 8 MP and 2 MP cameras and 1 GB RAM and 8 GB expandable internal storage. Huawei has priced it at INR 8,499.
Same goes for the Huawei G620S, which is the costliest in this lineup. It comes with almost the same specs as the Y625, but costs INR 9,499.
