HTC One M9 announced, comes with a dual tone Metal body and Snapdragon 810

HTC One M9

It’s Mobile World Congress time, and that means a ton of new devices from various companies. Following its yearly schedule, HTC has also launched the One M9, successor the the HTC One M8. The Taiwanese manufacturer has tried to make up for the shortcomings of the One M8 with the One M9. It’s more of an iterative update, somewhat like Apple’s S updates to the iPhones.

The company hasn’t upgraded the display. The design is basically the same as the One M8, with slight modifications here and there. HTC’s Sense UI isn’t much different either, reflective of the fact that HTC finds it to be good enough to ship nearly the same UI with Lollipop. HTC’s launcher now has support for themes, something that we will soon see in stock Android as well. HTC will even let you create custom themes by using a single image, which sounds nice. Blinkfeed is improved as well, showing alerts on the lockscreen and nearby reviews from Yelp.

HTC has worked a lot on the build of the One M9. The Taiwanese manufacturer has been working for an year now on creating a dual-tone anodized body. The design of the phone has also been refined from the One M8 and it shows. The phone looks gorgeous, probably one of the best looking phones out there.

Pricing details are not known yet, but the phone should start becoming available in different markets some time later in March.
