HTC Exodus blockchain smartphone announced
Once a bright star in smartphone industry, HTC is fast running out of ideas and came up with a new smartphone, HTC Exodus. Exodus is the world’s first phone dedicated to decentralized applications and security. The phone is priced at 0.15 bitcoin and thats around 70,000 rupees. Thats reasonable price for a phone with a 6″ QuadHD display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset.
HTC should focus on getting more to buy their phones. Not many in the world have Bitcoins and other crypto currency and even those who have Bitcoins do not part way of this currency that is growing in value. HTC Exodus shows all that is wrong with HTC, again.
“In the new internet age people are generally more conscious about their data, this a perfect opportunity to empower the user to start owning their digital identity. The Exodus is a great place to start because the phone is the most personal device, and it is also the place where all your data originates from. I’m excited about the opportunity it brings to decentralize the internet and reshape it for the modern user” said HTC’s Chief Crypto Officer Phil Chen.
HTC Exodus can run decentralized applications. A decentralized application (Dapp, dApp or DApp) is an application that is run by many users on a decentralized network with trustless protocols. They are designed to avoid any single point of failure. They typically have tokens to reward users for providing computing power.
HTC has also partenered with CryptoKitties to distribute the popular NFT game on blockchain via select HTC devices like U12+. HTC is also announcing two partnerships to accelerate advancement in the space – Animoca, the distributor of CryptoKitties and Bitmark, the crypto based digital ownership project.
“We understand the potential of digital scarcity and uniqueness. With Exodus, HTC aims to be a general blockchain asset marketplace. We are here to invite all developers to distribute their blockchain game, collectible and NFT concept through us. We believe there is a paradigm shift and the pendulum is swinging back to ownership and the value of content.” said Phil Chen.
