[CES 2015] HTC Desire 320 announced, comes with a quad core processor
HTC has announced the successor to its Desire 310 at the Consumer Electronics Show 2015. The Taiwanese manufacturer is taking this to the low-end, bringing a good specced phone for a very good price.
The HTC Desire 820 comes with a 4 inch screen and a quad core processor. There’s a 5 MP camera on the back and a VGA camera on the front. Disappointingly, it comes with Android KitKat even though Lollipop has been out 2 months already.
- Android 4.4.2 KitKat with HTC Sense UI on top
- 4.0” TFT LCD display, 854×480 pixels, ~218 PPI
- 1.3 GHz quad core processor
- 5 MP camera, LED flash, 1080p recording; front facing VGA camera
- 512 MB / 1 GB RAM, 4 GB / 8 GB internal memory, expandable with a microSD card
- Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio
- 2100 mAh battery
HTC, for some reason, will not be including the LED flash in the US variant. The US variant will also come with only 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal memory. The EU version gets the LED flash, 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory and FM Radio. While we don’t know the pricing yet, it’s on sale in Canada for $99. Expect similar prices elsewhere, too.
