HP announce plethora of tablets and 2-in-1s for commercial mobility solutions

Targeting commercial mobility solutions, HP has today announced a plethora of tablets and notebooks that redefine the workspace. HP Pro Slate 8 and HP Pro Slate 12 will be running Android and powered by  Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 800 series processor with support for HP Duet Pen (digital pen technology provided by Qualcomm), HP Elite X2 1011 G1 is a 11.6” 2-in-1 deice running Windows 8 Pro supporting pen input. HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is low cost 8” tablet powered by Intel Atom processor and running Windows 8 Pro, HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare tablet is meant for healthcare industry enhancing patient interaction, HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet is IP 65 certified tablet meant for rugged use with 20 hour battery backup. HP Pro Tablet 10 EE, running Windows and HP Pro Slate 10 EE running Android are IP-52 certified tablets meant for school going personnel and can be used with a stylus. These two tablets also comes with hardwired keyboard base option.

HP Pro Slate 8 is available now with a starting price of $449, HP Pro Slate 12 is available now with a starting price of $569, HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is expected to be available in late January with a starting price of $899, HP Pro Tablet 408 G1 is available now with a starting price of $299, HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Healthcare Tablet is available now with a starting price of $1499, HP ElitePad 1000 G2 Rugged Tablet is expected to be available in February with a starting price of $1599, HP Retail Case for ElitePad is available now with a starting price of $199, HP Pro Slate 10 EE is available now with a starting price of $279, HP Pro Tablet 10 EE is available now with a starting price of $299 for education customers and $349 for all customers.

HP Duet Pen is the first digital pen from HP to use digital pen technology and the pen is included with Slate 8 and Slate 12 tablets. Duet Pen is part of HP’s Blended Reality Ecosystem developed to create content that can be easily shared. HP Elite x2 1011 G1 comes with a 11.6” display and is a 2-in-1 Windows device. This is essentially a tablet with a keyboard dock (similar to Microsoft Surface series). 1011 G1 is tested for durability and is compatible with Wacom digital pen.
