Microsoft literally destroyed the Lumia brand and Windows Phone with the half baked Windows 10 Mobile on average looking Lumia 950.But thanks to HP, we do see some light at the end of the tunnel. The HP Elite X3 is HP’s entry into the world of Windows 10 smartphones. Elite X3 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chip, the Elite X3 has a brilliant QuadHD 6″ display, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage. HP has also announced HP Desk DOck, Mobile Extender that help users convert the Elite X3 into a fully functional computer. Designed for business users and fully compatible with Continuum, the HP Elite X3 is expected to available this summer in select countries.
Qualcomm SD820 comes with new QuickCharge 3.0 built in for high speed charging. The Elite X3 has an iris scanner to unlock the phone without the user performing any action/gesture and also has a fingerprint sensor mounted on the back plate. The Elite X3, thanks to the metallic finish looks elegant too. The Desk Dock comes with Display Port, 2x USB Type-A ports, USB Type-C port, wired ethernet port. Mobile Extender on the other hand comes with a 12.5″ HD display and turns the phone into a Windows 10 Notebook.
