Google is now manually reviewing apps submitted to the Play Store
Google had woken up from its slumber and has started reviewing apps and games submitted to the Play Store.
After numerous incidents over the few years of existence of Google’s app store for Android devices, the software giant has announced a move which could help bringing down the number of scammy apps currently available in the Play Store. According to the blog post posted on its Android Developers official blog, the company announced that it has been reviewing apps submitted to the Play Store. There is a team of experts which goes about checking apps for any Play Store policy violations.
Additionally, Google will now require developers to answer a content rating questionnaire. This is an age-based rating system wherein developers will be asked to answer a set of questions to help determine the rating for their apps. Both existing and new apps will require answering these questions, failing which an “Unrated” tag will be assigned to the app. This could affect the app’s availability in some regions.
