Google announce Pixel C to compete with iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface
In last few years, Microsoft did two amazing things. They introduced the flat user interface and that made into Android and iOS. Microsoft brought out Surface line up of convertible tablets and Apple followed it up with iPad Pro. Today, Google has officially entered the race, with Pixel C, the first in-house Android based convertible from Google. Pixel C has a starting price of $499 and the keyboard cover will cost $149. The tablet and the accessories will be available in retail market in time for holiday season. Pixel C comes with a 10.2″display and rung Android 6 Marshmallow.
Nvidia Tegra X1 handles the processing and 3GB of RAM feeds data to Tegra X1. Surprisingly though, Google decided to put Android on this instead of going with the Chrome OS. Does this hint slow and painful death of Chrome OS? Only time will tell. This tablet is completely designed in house, unlike Nexus devices. The full set of specification is yet to be revealed.
