Gionee Pioneer P5W launched for Rs. 6,499 with HD display and quad core processor
Gionee launched the Pioneer P5W today in India at a price of Rs. 6,499. The new Pioneer P5W continues to expand Gionee’s portfolio of affordable Android smartphones. It comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD display of HD resolution and a quad core processor.
Mr. Timir Baran Acharyya, GM, Gionee India said, “The idea behind introducing P5W has been the youth and their fascination towards carrying bright colorful phones. P5W comes in exciting color ranges from white, blue, red, yellow and black etc. The look and the feel of carrying the device have been thoroughly thought after. Aiming specifically at the youth of the country, we are sure that the device would gauge tremendous interest as like its predecessors.”
Coming in bright colours, the Gionee Pioneer P5W is aimed at the youth who want a good looking smartphone at an affordable price. With the Pioneer P5W, you get a 5 inch IPS LCD display featuring the Oncell technology. At a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, you get a pixel density of ~294 PPI. A quad core processor and 1 GB RAM help you to multitask easily, while the 16 GB internal storage will let you store thousands of songs and photos. There’s support for a microSD card to expand the internal storage.
On the imaging front, you get a 5 MP camera with an LED flash and a 2 MP camera on the front. The Pioneer P5W runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo 3.1 UI on top. Keeping the phone powered on is a 2000 mAh battery.
The Gionee Pioneer P5W is priced at Rs. 6,499 and is available in White, Blue, Yellow, Red and Black colours.
