App review
The app is very simple to use. The interactions are straight forward and the icons are intuitive. The visual design is a bit outdated and does not give you a futuristic feel, but that could just be my taste. User on-boarding process is very simple. Facebook authentication is good, but I wish there was a human layer involved for profile verification. A simple mobile OTP could have been better. But the nature of app is such that users are in it for casual exploration most of the times and they may not be comfortable in giving out any other details other than simple FB profile. So after the user is on board, OTP or Phone verification can be introduced.
You can also see mutual friends if there are any. If you feel a certain profile is fake, you can report it. If you are just exploring the app like me, or just want to explore the options, you can activate the anonymous mode from the settings. Also if there are any new matches, super likes for your profile or incoming messages, you will be notified. You can give your age and proximity preferences. The developers have thought about everything to make the user experience in this app a smooth ride. So give it a spin and see if you Parooz can help you find a match.
The app is now available in a few select cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, Hyderabad, etc… The concept is gaining momentum and soon the app may be available in other cities as well.
P.S: On a serious note, a date is much more than an app. It about your own personality and it compatibility with someone else. This app may not guarantee you a partner, but its just an enabler in that process.
