Flipkart Billion Capture+ dual camera smartphone announced, probably made by Smartron

Flipkart has finally entered the smartphone race with Billion Capture+, a budget (\smartphone designed and manufactured by Indian smartphone maker Smartron. Flipkart Billion Capture+ is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chip and comes with dual cameras at the back. Billion Capture+ is priced at Rs.10,999/- for 3GB/32GB variant and 12,999/- for 4GB and 64GB variant. The phone will be available from 15th of November in Black and Gold color options. At launch, the phone will be available with No Cost EMI option. Users will get unlimited cloud storage and from what we see (icons), this would be Smartron’s tron.x cloud service. Smartron’s part is yet to be confirmed by Flipkart or Smartron.

When we saw the image of Flipkart Billion Capture+, we wondered what Smartron’s tron.x application is doing on this phone. Also, the camera and gallery icons are exactly similar to those on Smartron’s phones. After little bit of search, we understood that this phone is designed and manufactured by Smartron. Flipkart Billion Capture+ has a 5.5″ FullHD display with 2.5D Dragontrail glass on top. The Snapdragon 625 that powers this phone is a capable chipset and is go to choice for most budget and midrange phones. Coming to optics, there is a dual 13mp camera arrangement at the back and an 8mp front facing camera. At the back, one of the lens is for RGB and the other is for monochrome (black & white). The arranagement is similar to that on Huawei’s P9 and Mate 10 smartphones.
