Flipboard announce availability of ‘Topics’ feature in India and UK
Flipboard, the best application for reading news and articles had launched new features named Topics back in October. Starting this week, users in India and UK will be able to access 34,000 topics that are created by people across the globe. People, tagged as ‘MagMakers’ curated more than 10 million magazines (based on subjects that are close to their heart), pulled articles, photos, videos, music to create a new mix of content categorized into topics. The curation is indexed by algorithms based on Zite’s technology. To use this features, latest version of Flipboard is necessary.
For example, you can open the topic ‘Indian Food’ to see content on Indian Food. All you need to do is use ‘topic picker’ to select topics or search for topics or tap on topic tags shows on articles to follow topics. Once you open a topic, click on ‘Follow’ to subscribe.
