Ad-free social network Ello launches its iOS app, coming soon to Android and Windows
With social networking taking the world by storm for the last few years, a number of social networking sites have emerged and many others left the scene. However, what all these social networks have had in common is that they all have ads. To help monetize the growing userbases, companies like Facebook and Twitter have built a platform for users to engage with new features that drive people to click more on their own native ads.
Ello arrived on the scene last year as an alternative to these social networking sites, with the promise of remaining ad-free and guaranteeing user privacy. The company remained a web-only service for long, but they finally have an iOS app. It is a free app, and comes with a bunch of features.
