Earn by Microsoft gets you credits to use at Microsoft stores
Microsoft has announced the launch of a new service called Earn, which will let you make up for that last purchase you made at a retailer with a discount credit that you can use at Microsoft stores.
The new service called Earn is still in beta, and it will allow users to collect credits when they pay for purchases at retailers and restaurants. These credits will then accumulate into your account, which can then be used to purchase from Microsoft’s stores at a discounted price. Microsoft has currently limited this beta service to three US states – Arizona, Massachusetts and Washington.
“Enroll your cards with Earn. Shop and dine at participating merchants to Earn Credits. And when you make a purchase at your local Microsoft Store with your enrolled card, you’ll receive a credit on your bank card statement, up to your Earn Credits balance.”
Microsoft has a similar service called Bing Rewards, but that is only restricted to collecting points for searching using Bing. Microsoft could expand the coverage of the Earn service depending on various factors, but currently, it is restricted to a few retailers and restaurants in three US states.
