Vivo FunTouch OS 9 : How to enable Find My Phone feature and track your Android phone

Find my phone is one of the best features on a phone that helps you track your lost phone, well, unless it is switched off and reset in a hard way. Google’s Find My Device feature will help you locate your device remotely. In this guide, we will help you how to set up this feature. Activate Find My Device #

  • Open Settings application.
  • Go to More settings > Security & Privacy. (More settings is optional on some phones).
  • Tap on Security.
  • Go to Device Manager.
  • Activate Find My Device.

Track your phone #

Do note that for this to work, your phone should be powered on, connected to internet and GPS should be on.

  • Go to https://www.google.com/android/find and sign in to your Google Account. This is essential as Find My Phone is Android feature and you can track using your Google account.
  • Click on ‘Find my device’.
  • You will see where you phone is on a Google Map.
  • If your phone is turned off, you will see last known location of your phone.
  • If your phone is reachable to Google Find My Phone, you can do any of these actions:
    • Ring phone at full volume for 5 minutes (even when it is silent or in DND mode).
    • Lock your phone with PIN or pattern or password.
    • Add message or phone number to lock screen so that those who found your phone can contact you.
    • Do a full factory reset and data removal.
