- Go to settings.
- Tap on Connection & Sharing.
- Tap on Portable hotspot.
- Tap on Set up portable hotspot.
- Set hotspot password.
- Set security to WPA2-Personal.
- Set AP band. If you phone and other devices support 5GHz band, you can set this band.
- Set name for hotspot in SSID.
- Go back one page.
- Tap on One-time data limit.
- Set the limit as per your need.
- Tap on When exceeded, select ‘Only notify’ or ‘Turn off and notify’.
- Enable ‘Turn off hotspot automatically‘ so that when no device is connected for some time, hotspot turns off on its own, saving battery life.
- Once this setup is done, you can enable Hotspot from quick toggles in Android notification panel.
