MIUI 11 : How to enable application lock

There are certain applications in our phones that we do not want others to use. When one has kids at home who love using your phone, it is a safe practice to setup locks for applications as phone lock/unlock pin is not enough. App lock in MIUI 11 lets you unlock all or specific applications so that when the app is opened, you have to enter a password.   • Open settings application.
  • Go to Apps.
  • Click on App lock.
  • Click on Turn on if this is the first time you are using app lock.
  • Set pattern that you can use to unlock application.
  • You can opt to create Mi Account if you do not have one. This will help if you forget the pattern to unlock application.
  • If you want to use Face Unlock, tap on Use Face Unlock else click on Cancel.
  • Verify your fingerprint.
  • Select application that you want to encrypt and follow on screen instructions.
  • To hide notification content from applications, click on settings on top right corner (looks like gear wheel).
  • Click on Hide notification content.
  • Select applications for which you want to hide notification content.
  • If you want to encrypt a note, long press on a note and select encrypt your note.
