DishTV announce DishFlix movie streaming service and hardware
DishTV, one of the leading satellite TV provider in India has announced a new service, DishFlix, a movie subscription service. Rs.5,990 is the price for the hardware while monthly subscription to Flix Studio will cost Rs.100/-. DishFlix is a Video-on-Demand service (a bit in-line with NetFlix, Hulu etc). Those who buy this service now will get 50 movies pre-loaded. 15 movies will be refreshed every month of FIFO basis. DO note that the provided STB will not work without DishTV set top box. The included Flix Box is connected to the DishTV Set Top Box to download movies and you can also download TV shows to your Flix Box.
