Imagine a display that has 4K resolution panel with 0.1ms response time (and we think 5mp is amazing for response time), capable of displaying full AdobeRGB color gamut and there is 30” of real estate. This is the kind of stuff that make us throw cash at. Dell UltraSharp 30 OLED, announced at CES 2016 is the flagship display from the American PC maker and is definitely one of the best products showcased at CES 2016. The bummer though is that it costs $5000 (more than the premium ultrabooks being showcased at the mega event) and still is the most affordable 30” display.
The UltraSharp 30 OLED display has whopping 400,000:1 typical contrast ratio. Yes, you heard it right!. This is not dynamic contrast ratio, this is typical contrast ratio. You can now imagine how deep the blacks will be! All of this is thanks to the superior OLED display panel. The monitor comes with a USB Type-C port.
Dell has also announced that they are bringing InfinityEdge to their UltraSharp lineup of premium quality monitors. The new models will be available in 23.8” and 27” sizes. UltraSharp 27 comes with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, has a HDMI 1.4 port, DisplayPort, miniDisplayPort and a DisplayPort Out and is priced at $719. The 23.8” variant comes with FullHD resolution and is priced at $349.
Dell UltraSharp 24 Wireless and 23 Wireless are the new monitors that can be connected to source using Miracast screen casting and the display stand acts as wireless charging dock. Dell has also build stereo speakers into these models. Both the models come with FullHD resolution. The 23” model costs $429 and the 24” monitor costs $469.
