CyanogenMod 13 nightly now available for Nexus 4
Popular after market custom ROM developers CyanogenMod have released CyanogenMod 13 for the three year old Nexus 4. The first CM 13 nightlies are now available to download for the Nexus 4.
Google dropped support for the Nexus 4 after releasing an Android 5.1.1 security update back in september. The Nexus 4 won’t be receiving the official Android 6.0 update.
Although Google is still releasing security updates for the Nexus 4, it won’t be pushing out newer versions of Android OS for the Nexus 4 anymore. The first nightly released by CyanogenMod is around 277MB. There might be some bugs in the nightly version and users are advised to be careful as installation of nightly builds can not only result in a bricked device, but also void your handset’s warranty.
