CyanogenMod 10.1.0 Release Candidate is ready for consumption
Team CyanogenMod, developers of one of the widely used 3rd party ROM CyanogenMod (a.k.a CM) has announced the availability of Release Candidate of CM10.1 which is based on JellyBean 4.2.2. It took really really long time for the CM team to get 10.1.0 to this stage, thanks to the extra effort that every one had to put in to upgrade the ROM to ICS from Gingerbread. CM 10.1 nightlies have been available for wide range of smartphones and those who have been updating their phones regularly with latest nightlies will hardly find any difference and those who have been waiting for 10.1.0 to shed ‘nightly’ tag can jump onboard now.
We haven’t used the ‘Release Candidate’ nomenclature since the ICS days, but we feel the 10.1 branch is quickly approaching the point where a ‘final’ build is due. To prepare for that eventuality, RC1 builds for CyanogenMod 10.1.0 are now landing on our servers! This will be one of (if not the last) milestone releases before a 10.1.0 is pushed out. These builds will appear as they complete the build process and, as always, you can download the builds via get.cm!
