Cyanogen announce themes app, invite creators to take part in theme design challenge
Cyanogen Themes is a new themes application for Cyanogen operating system (built on AOSP). Cyanogen has announced that they are inviting content creators to submit themes to Themes Studio. As part of this drive, Cyanogen has launched ‘Themes Design Challeng‘ for artists who create “original theme packs” for Cyanogen OS. Those who participate can customize almost all the areas of mobile UI (wallpapers, icons, font, boot animation, controls etc). The challenge is open now and ends on 14th of December (5pm Pacific Time). The top three winning entries will get prize money upto $350. The prize money may not be big but hey, the winning/qualified theme pack will be available when the application is launched.
Once the designs are ready, participants can head to Themes Studio and submit the design(s). Themes that are qualified for the design challenge will be available for download via ‘Themes’ application at launch. Themes application, available only on devices that are pre-installed with Cyanogen OS will allow users to discover, select and install themes/components. The first device to come pre-loaded with Themes application will be from ‘YU’ brand (subsidiary of Micromax).
