Chrome for Android updated with Google Wallet form fill integration and more
A significant update was delivered to Chrome for Android today, with support for form filling with data from Google Wallet. Standing at version 43.x, the Chrome for Android update is now live in the Play Store, making it more secure to pay online, apart from other new features.
Here is the changelog for the latest v43 update:
- Faster Checkout – Quickly and securely complete checkout forms with data from Google Wallet
- Touch to Search – Learn more about words and phrases by touching them on your screen
- Bug fixes and speedy performance improvements.
Touch to Search is a feature which will open a new Google Now on Tap style search mini page within the same tab. All you have to do is highlight a phrase or even a single word and Google will search for it near the bottom of the page. It had existed in the beta version for a while now and today it graduates to the stable stream.
