The HP Elite Folio, powered by Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 8cx Gen 2 5G compute platform, delivers full day battery life and high speed 5G connectivity for those on the go. HP Elite Folio is expected to be on sale in February and there is no indication of pricing. The Elite Folio can be used like a tablet and in media mode, comes with built-in HP Elite Slim Active Pen. These ARM based laptops may open the door for other OEMs to push for ARM based laptops. Though, all depends on how consumer receive these new generation laptops.
HP Elite Folio comes with 13.5″ FullHD display with 3:2 aspect ratio, upt o 16GB of RAM/memory, up to 512GB of M.2 SSD storage, full size keyboard with build in pen holder. The body is made out of unibody magnesium and has vegan leather covering. Thanks to Qualcomm chipset, there are no fans in Elite Folio. The defining features though are up to 24.5 hours of local video playback, Wi-Fi 6, 5G connectivity (optional). Thanks to HP’s fast charging, you can charge from 0-90% in just 90 minutes. That is incredible for a battery of this size.
Other specsof HP Elite Folio include HD webcamera, 2x USB Type-C ports, 3.5mm audio port, 1x Nano SIM card slot, 4x stereo speakers, 2x front facing mics, HP Privacy Camera, starting weight of 2.86 pounds.
