Samsung Galaxy Chromebook, announced at CES, is without a doubt the best Chromebook that money can buy. Galaxy Chromebook will be available in Fiesta Red and Mercury Gray in Q1 2020, starting at $999.99. Powered by 10th generation Intel Core Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook has a 13.3” 4K AMOLED Display with built-in pen support.
“The notion that we do everything stationary at a desk is a thing of the past, and people need premium devices built for our new reality,” said Alanna Cotton, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Samsung Electronics America. “By offering a seamless, premium user experience, Galaxy Chromebook helps you effortlessly switch between streaming, creative projects, word processing, and more.”
Samsung Galaxy Chromebook is just 9.9mm thin and is yet durable, thanks to aluminum build. Fiesta Red colored shell looks absolutely stunning. The industrial design, the color and the thin frame makes the Galaxy Chromebook the best ChromeOS laptop that one can buy.
The 13.3″ AMOLED display has 4K UHD resolution and the bezels are just 3.9mm thin. One unique feature of this Chromebook is the 8MP camera on keyboard deck. There is a regular 1mp webcam above the display. The camera on keyboard deck can be used to take quality photos by rotating the keyboard 180 degrees.
Co-engineered with Intel as part of the Project Athena innovation program, the Galaxy Chromebook passed rigorous testing to achieve the program’s experience targets and hardware specifications, ensuring it consistently delivers the responsiveness, instant wake, and battery life that ambitious people need to focus from anywhere. The speed and efficiency of Galaxy Chromebook is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i5 processor along with Intel® Wi-Fi 6, so everything you do is fast, smooth and uninterrupted.
“For years, students have come to love Chrome OS in classrooms around the world—but today, Chromebooks are being used for so much more, by the younger generation and working-professionals alike,” said Kan Liu, Senior Director of Product Management at Google. “As we see the demand for premium Chromebook experiences rise, we are investing more and more with partners like Samsung to build the next generation of flagship Chromebook product innovations and offerings.”
