ASUS RoG Zephyrus G15 and G14, announced at CES 2020, are new gaming laptops under the Republic of Gamers branding. These two ultra-slim form factor laptops are powered by AMD Ryzen™ 4000 Series Mobile Processors built on the groundbreaking “Zen 2” core architecture combined with industry-leading 7nm process technology and up to an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060 GPU.
For years, ASUS has been at the forefront of PC gaming fight, thanks to Republic of Gamers products. Gaming laptops have costed a lot but ASUS is bringing these powerful laptops to mainstream laptop buyers. The new models come with powerful chipsets, compact chassis, and price that brings gaming and creation capabilities to an even wider audience.

ASUS Zephyrus G14
ASUS Zephyrus G14 is powered by AMD Ryzer 4000 series Zen 2 CPUs and buyers can opt up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 GPU augmented by ROG Boost up to 1298MHz at 65W . The chassis is just 17.9mm thin, weighs just 1.6 kgs and still the notebook can stay on up to 10 hours on a single charge. Thanks to support for USB Power Delivery, The G14 can be charged using a 65W Type-C power adapter. To the same USB port, you can connect a phone to charge it.
The Zephyrus G14 comes with a FullHD display with 120Hz refresh rate. Buyers can also opt for WQHD resolution. Thanks to super slim bezels, the G14 has 85% screen to body ratio. Adaptive sync technology adds another level of smoothness by coordinating frame delivery between the GPU and display to eliminate visual tearing that can ruin immersion, and also minimize stuttering and input lag.
The displays on the Zephyrus G14 and G15 are both factory calibrated and Pantone Validated for superb color accuracy. This display uses 1,215 mini LEDs that emit a white glow with 256 levels of brightness control to give gamers a new medium to express their individuality.
Coming to build, the Zephyrus G14 is made from magnesium-aluminum alloy that resists fingerprints, has high durability and select models come with AniMe Matrix display on RoG splash across the lid. Zephyrus G14 is the first ROG laptop to feature an ErgoLift hinge that tilts the keyboard at a more comfortable angle.
Other specs include Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) connectivity, up to 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM, up to 1TB of PCIe SSD, dual front-firing speakers powered by Smart Amp technology .
The Zephyrus G14 comes with one USB Type-C port, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 port, two USB Type-A ports. The Zephyrus G14 is also the first ROG laptop to integrate fingerprint login into the power button.
ASUS RoG Zephyrus G15
The ASUS RoG Zephyrus G15, on the other hand, weighs 2.1kg and is 19.9mm thin. Most of the specs on G15 are similar to that of G14. Instead of RGB lighting, the G15 comes with white backlighting. G15 comes with AMD® Ryzen™ 7 4800HS mobile APU doubles the core count of the previous generation. With 8 cores and 16 threads based on the latest Zen 2 architecture alongside 7nm fabrication technology, it muscles through heavy multitasking, content creation, and other demanding work.
Display on G15 supports 240Hz refresh rate, has 3ms gray-gray response time. The screen to body ratio of G15 is slightly lower than that of G14, at 81%.
On the Zephyrus G15, ROG’s Intelligent Cooling philosophy allows the G15 to get more from its silicon with a strategic blend of hardware and software that optimizes and maintains performance and acoustics with a self-cleaning thermal module and anti-dust tunnels. The G15 has the highest-density fan in our arsenal, and it improves airflow by up to 17% over previous generations.
The Zephyrus G15 comes with one USB Type-C port, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 port, three USB Type-A ports.
