[CES 2015] Toshiba announce Encore 2 Write tablet and Portege Z20t 2-in-1 PC
The Encore 2 Write is the new tablet lineup from Toshiba that is designed for those who love using stylus. Powered by Intel Atom Z3735 quad core CPU, Encore 2 Write runs Windows 8.1 operating system and comes with Wacom’s Feel digital pen technology stylus. Microsoft Office and Toshiba’s TruNote note taking software is pre-loaded for those who does document editing and note taking on the go. Few other preloaded applications include TruRecorder audio recording application, TruCapture image capture application. There is a 8mp camera on the rear and a 1.2mp camera at the front. Encore 2 Write will be available on stores on January 11th. 8” tablet will cost $350 and 10.1” tablet will cost $400.
Also announced is Portégé® Z20t premium 2-in-1 tablet PC with pen input. Z20t has a 12.5” FullHD IPS panel display, a reversible keyboard dock and is powered by Intel Core M processor. A Wacom Fell Digital Pen is included in the box. Thanks to a large battery, Z20t has a 17.4 hour rated battery life when connected to the dock and 9.1 hour battery life when not docked. Z20t weight 1.6 pounds and when attached to the keyboard dock, weights 3.3 pounds. The single hinge mechanism allows users to undock the tablet from the dock with one hand. The keyboard on the dock is spill-resistant and has LED backlit keys. The Portégé Z20t will be available for purchase through Corporate Direct, Reseller Partners, business-focused e-tailers, such as CDW, PC Connection and Zones, as well as from ToshibaDirect.com in January 2015, starting at $1,399.00 MSRP7. The Portégé WT20, sold without the digitizer and keyboard base will be available in February2015 starting at $899.00 MSRP.
