[CES 2015] Seagate announce Wireless portable hard drive, to cost $129
Seagate Technology, at CES 2015, announced a new portable wireless hard drive for those who prefer transferring and streaming content over wireless networks. At release, the new hard drive will only be available with 500GB size. Using Seagate Wireless, users can stream HD video to Android Tablet or Smartphone, iPad, iPhone, Kindle Fire, Windows 8 computers and Windows RT tablets.Seagate Wireless will be available in lime green, cool blue, slate grey, fire-engine red and white color options. Seagate Wireless will be available from Amazon, Best Buy and Seagate.com by early February for a MSRP of $129.99. Seagate Media app is currently available for free from popular app stores.

Seagate Wireless is accessed from a PC using Seagate Media application that is compatible with iOS, Android, Fire OS, Windows 8. Once the application is installed and once the hard drive is powered on, users will be able to access the storage on the drive (as long as they are on same network). Users can also stream movies, photos, music and access documents to/from television using Apple AirPlay, Google Chromecast. Seagate has developed an application in-house for Samsung/LG Smart TVs and for Roku players.
