Mumbai, January 7, 2015 — ASUS today announced the new 15.6-inch N551JQ N Series laptop available with an optional Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera for added levels of user interaction. N551JQ is the latest and most powerful model in this entertainment-focused range and features an elegant aluminum design with iconic ASUS spun-metal finish that, combined with the ripple-effect detailing around the speaker grilles, gives N551JQ a fresh and modern look.
N551JQ comes with exclusive ASUS SonicMaster Premium audio, incorporating ICEpower® technology, plus an external sub-woofer for cinematic surround sound. Spectacular visuals are provided by an up to Full HD IPS display driven by gaming-grade NVIDIA® GTX™ 800 Series graphics. New levels of interaction with the Intel RealSense 3D Camera
ASUS is the first company in the world to launch a notebook with an Intel RealSense 3D Camera[1], and now offers it as an option on ASUS N551JQ. The Intel RealSense 3D Camera gives users new ways of interacting[2] with their notebook. The camera features two lenses, giving N551JQ the ability to recognize and track the user in a three-dimensional space. It is able to track hand, head, and facial movements accurately, giving users the ability to scroll through web pages, play games, or open an app without touching the notebook.
In addition, the Intel RealSense 3D camera lets users add a custom background to online chats, and can be used to scan real-life objects to create digital 3D models which can be digitally manipulated or even replicated with a 3D printer.
