Canonical announce Ubuntu powered Lenovo notebooks in India
Canonical has announced today that Lenovo will be shipping Laptops preloaded with Ubuntu Linux operating system, in India. The first product to go on sale starting July and is the ThinkPad L450 and it will cost Rs.40,000/-. The Ubuntu powered models will be available for purchase at select commercial resellers and distributors. ThinkPad L450 will come with 14.04 version of Ubuntu operating system and given that this is a Long Term Supoort version, Ubuntu will support and maintain the OS for five years (from release date).
